I am a Scottish author living in Ayrshire.  

In 2016 Amazon held a competition aimed at adult writers, to write a new Night Before Christmas story. Having always fancied turning my hand to writing books, I decided to enter. I didn't win, but I found myself sitting with a finished Christmas story that I liked. I thought, if nothing else,  it would be good to be able to hold it in my hand and read it to my son.

I decided to hire an editor and an illustrator. I set about trying to turn a Word document into an actual book that people could buy, with pictures and everything! Fast forward a few years and I self-published my first book, The Christmas Eve Crash Landing, on Amazon.

I have learned a  lot about the self-publishing process along the way. I've been inspired by other self-published authors who have put the time, money and effort in to become extremely successful while also helping others to try and do the same.  

Reading books with children is a special experience for parents and carers. I can't explain how even more special the experience is when you are reading your own book to your own child, and see them respond and interact with your story. I have lots of ideas for future books, and I hope that my books will one day be part of your reading experience.
